Information

Year: 2009 - 2017
Client: Upsilon Ventures
Size: 125,000 SF
Scope: : KGA was the architect-of-record for the Bryant Park Winter Village, consisting of an ice rink, retail kiosks, and a 2-story restaurant. The rink, restaurant, and associated structures were installed every October in approximately 15 to 20 days, and dismantled every March in approximately 10 days. KGA worked with the client’s project management team and the contractors to create a detailed construction schedule. Each year the design was changed slightly by the client to accommodate alterations, refine the layout, or to accommodate a new sponsor/new event within the facility. KGA developed the plans and interfaced with a host of city agencies, including the NYC Parks Department, the Landmarks Preservation Commission, Department of Buildings, FDNY, Mayor’s Office of People with Disabilities, and Bryant Park Corporation.
